Victorian Neurotrauma Initiative: Skill Development Awards

The Victorian Neurotrauma Initiative (VNI) is pleased to offer Skill Development Awards as part of its commitment to build neurotrauma research capacity within Victoria.

The Victorian Neurotrauma Initiative (VNI) is a $63 million research fund, established with the support of the Transport Accident Commission and the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development. The VNI aims to fund and support research to reduce the impact of neurotrauma and improve the quality of life of those living with life changing injuries

This second round of VNI Skill Development Awards aims to assist new researchers and clinicians to complete short courses relevant to a neurotrauma research interest.  

• A total of 10 Skill Development Awards will be offered for support commencing in 2009.
• Each Award has a value of up to $2,000.

Health professionals and researchers who would like to undertake research into traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury or peripheral nerve injury are invited to apply.  

Applications close 5pm (AEST) Thursday 14th August 2008
